New Features in Oracle EPM Automate

There is a new version of EPM Automate as part of 21.05 update. The update is available in your EPM TEST instances.

Make sure to upgrade EPM Automate to the latest version. Lets take a look at some of the new features.

Custom URLs with Login Command

I am really excited about this one. You can now use shortened URLs in the login command.

Earlier you had to provide the complete URL to the EPM instance while using the “epmautomate login” command.

epmautomate login <username> <password> https://test-cloud-pln.pbcs.us1.oraclecloud.com

As part of the 21.05 update, you have the option of shortening the URL using bitly, tinyurl or other third party URL shorteners and use the shortened URL in the login command.

Changes to addUsers Command

The addUsers command has been enhanced to add EPM Cloud users to the identity domain using a system generated temporary password. Previously, the only way to add EPM Cloud users to the identity domain using this command required you to assign one password to all the users added using this command. Additionally, on running this command, EPM Cloud emails new users their temporary passwords.
